| Symptom | Cause | Remedy |

| Tool holder may not rotate freely | Loose tool clamp capscrews or mounting capscrews | Reposition the tool either by loosening the tool clamp capscrews to rotate the tool in the holder, or loosen the four mounting capscrews to rotate the complete tool holder assembly. Tighten the capscrews when correct adjustment is obtained. |
| Difficult to raise tool OR Tool drifts down while idle | Air pressure too low for weight of tool, Regulator setting too low, Damaged or loose fittings or tubing, Air cylinder vent restricted, Air cylinder leaking, Torque tube over capacity, Linear support bearings damaged, Guide wheel damaged | Increase air pressure to 100 psi (7 kg/cm2) or highest maintainable pressure, Refer to “INSTALLATION” section of this manual, Check and tighten fittings and tubing, Check and clean vent, Check air cylinder for leakage, Refer to “SPECIFICATIONS” table for maximum load, Check and replace bearings, Inspect and replace guide wheels |
| Difficult to lower tool OR Tool drifts up while idle | Regulator setting too high, Air pressure off (Check valve holding pressure) | Refer to “INSTALLATION” section of this manual, Increase air pressure to 100 psi (7 kg/cm2) or highest maintainable pressure, Check and replace bearings, Inspect and replace guide wheels |
